Fifty Days Till We Leave

We have 50 days till we head to Honduras. We are starting to plan our packing list. We had our first mission trip meeting this past Sunday and I learned that it can get HOT (like north of 100 degrees) in Honduras. If you know me well, I don’t do well with the sun. I may have to bring a suitcase full of sunblock like in the image to the right. Y’all pray that none of us get sunburnt. While I won’t really have a suitcase full of sunblock, we will still have plenty, and will also be packing sunglasses, hats, aloe, battery operated fans, cooling rags, and anything else that will help us stay cool in the Honduran sun.

We are still in need of about $7,500 to fully meet our goal of our trip. We are going no matter the cost leftover for us but we really want our friends, family, and community to be a part of the impact that takes place to those we affect in Honduras as well as the impact that will take place in our own lives. Would you consider giving today to help impact the children and others in Honduras where we will serve? Most importantly to me as a father, I can’t wait to see the impact this will have on my kids and by helping us on this trip, it allows you to make an impact in their lives as well.

Thank you all that have given, prayed, and helped in other ways. We appreciate you and can’t wait to share with you all the details of how this trip affects those in Honduras and in our own lives.

I LOVE some good BBQ. Many restaurants today don’t seem to have the smoked flavor that I’m after, so I typically smoke it myself. Smoked for 16 to 20 hours
